Jennifer Lopez wipes her Instagram as her social media profiles go black
The superstar has replaced her profile pics with a black circle on all of her social media channels.
Jennifer Lopez fans who checked her Instagram this morning found the page completely empty.
The superstar has seemingly deleted or archived all of her old posts on the platform, in addition to changing her profile picture to a black circle. The “Waiting for Tonight” singer has also gone dark on her other platforms, including Twitter and TikTok, but kept her previous posts up on those accounts.
The switch to a blank page for Lopez’s most-followed account—she currently has 226 million followers—is jarring, but it also may signal a major announcement. Other celebs have previously made similar moves before revealing new film or music projects, so the multi-hyphenate could have something big in the works.
Lopez already has some highly-anticipated film projects scheduled for next year, including the romantic comedy Shotgun Wedding, which is set to premiere on Prime Video in January, and the May Netflix thriller The Mother.
The star has kept a relatively low profile since returning to Los Angeles following her two romantic weddings and honeymoons with Ben Affleck this summer. The couple did make their red-carpet debut as a married couple at the Ralph Lauren spring/summer 2023 runway show in San Marino, California, last month.
Earlier this week, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer jumped on a popular TikTok trend, sharing an adorable clip of herself cuddling with her husband. In the video, both Mr. and Mrs. Affleck’s smiles widen as they hear the trending sound, which says, in a cute baby voice, “Guys, I did it. I found the person that makes me the happiest I have ever been.”
